Offered a job, that isn’t a job?

Well, I got a letter from the Driving Standards Agency the other day about my interview. I got the job, woo hoo!

But, there are no jobs, not one, not in the whole country. So I have spent over 3 months doing work and preparation for the tests and the interview, to be told that I have reached the standard that they wanted, but tough. That means that I have to wait for another examiner to die.* Hmm, how peculiar, they advertised and recruited for jobs that they simply don’t have. Gah.

Anyway, I was at the ZOMG bash at Hebden Bridge for Druid’s birthday, I didn’t take my camera as I knew there would be loads of other people with cameras there.

If I see an examiner I will thrust upon them leaflets about the joys of retirement and/or the careers information service.
